1 Peter 1:3 (ESV) — 3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

God caused us to be born again into a living hope. Some people believe that our hope is established at a brief moment in time through faith in Jesus Christ, and then it never changes. While this is true positionally, we have a living hope. Our living hope grows as we learn more about God’s secure salvation. This living hope is grounded in our living Savior! His resurrection results in our increasing joy and expectation of what God has in store us as His children.

Is your hope living and active? Is your joy ever increasing as you learn about the depth of your salvation? God wants you to be filled with hope, even in the worst of times. In this fallen world, we will have tribulation, but we can have hope because in Christ we overcome the world.

“Father God, Thank you for causing me to be born again into a living hope. I praise You that my hope is not static or stale. Your will is that my hope grows stronger and stronger each day. Fill me with the joy of Your salvation. Conquer all doubt. Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. In Jesus name, amen”
