MORNING: Peter challenges the believer to prepare their minds for action. The Greek word for “prepare” speaks of binding up a long garment and fastening it with a leather belt in order to do any kind of work. Without preparation of our minds, we will struggle to have victory over the world.

God caused us to be born again into a living hope. Some people believe that our hope is established at a brief moment in time through faith in Jesus Christ, and then it never changes. While this is true positionally, we have a living hope. Our living hope grows as we learn more about God’s secure salvation. This living hope is grounded in our living Savior! His resurrection results in our increasing joy and expectation of what God has in store us as His children.
