Mission Association: Youth With A Mission (YWAM), Ireland
Mission Focus: An Cuan (Irish for harbour, and pronounced ‘on koo-in‘) is the name of the newly established YWAM ministry in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland. The centre is the former Christian Renewal Centre with a long history of prayer for Ireland and reconciliation work, over which YWAM assumed stewardship in May 2010. We want to continue its legacy of prayer and reconciliation, and couple it with a focus on developing and sending teams into Ireland and the nations.
Ministry Goal: My title here is the Hospitality and Housekeeping Coordinator, however, our base in Rostrevor is quite new, and still in a pioneering phase. This means I am not only overseeing these departments, in a lot of ways I am creating them! This is difficult work, but is infinitely valuable since as we get these operational systems put into place and running efficiently, it frees up our staff to do what we are best at - running missions training schools, going on outreaches to the nations, and serving our beautiful and broken community of Rostrevor, and the island of Ireland!
