Sunday Classes (Adult Bible Fellowships)

Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) classes are an important "next step" beyond attending worship services. ABFs are a time of teaching and discussion with an aim of building relationships around God's Word. Also, coffee and snacks await you in class. ABFs are offered September through June at 10:15 a.m. after the completion of our 8:30 a.m. Heritage Service and 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Service, and finish in time to attend our 11:15 a.m. Contemporary Service. Classes are designed to let you join any ABF in any week. The locations on campus listed below are shown on this ABF Rooms Map.

Spring 2013 ABF Classes
Most classes begin Sunday, April 7th, 10:15 am

The Bible Expedition ABF — East Room

Join us for a more extensive look at the Bible passages Pastor Kris covers in his Sunday sermon.

Family Ministry ABF — Room 4/6  … Begins 4/14
Facilitator: Pastor Brett Reid
“Graced Based Parenting” by Dr. Tim Kimmel.  This is the first of a three part DVD-curriculum.  The first part called “Creating an Atmosphere of Grace” seeks to teach parents how to parent their children with grace.  Tim says it best, “it is my hope and prayer that God will be free to tug at your heart as you go through this study so that you can enjoy a clear sense of His direction and leadership as you create an atmosphere of grace in your home.  This class is for parents (single and blended families included) of children of all ages, as well as grandparents.

Marriage Ministry ABF — Room 13/15 … Not meeting Mother’s Day or Memorial Day
Facilitators:  Steve & Lisa Anderson, Ric & Sandy Solis, Jon & Angie Wagner
"Sacred Marriage" by Gary Thomas.  Your marriage is much more than a union between you and your spouse. It is a spiritual discipline ideally suited to help you know God more fully and intimately. Sacred Marriage shifts the focus from marital enrichment to spiritual enrichment in ways that can help you love your mate more. Whether it is delightful or difficult, your marriage can become a doorway to a closer walk with God. A remarkable, deeply fulfilling journey awaits you - a journey of transformation that will equip you to love God more passionately, reflect the nature of his Son more precisely, and fulfill Gods overarching purpose for your marriage.

Sunday Morning EDGE ~ Young Adult ABF — Hearth Room
Facilitators: Noel Shook
Hang out with a group of young adults to get connected, engage with tough topics, and have a good time.  “Ask the hard questions, know the Truth.”

Solo Connection — Room 1b  (For women who have lost their husbands)
Facilitator: Gloria Walsh
Widows are part of the fastest growing demographic in the U.S. They lose 75% of their friendship network when they become ONE. Sixty percent experience serious health issues in that first year. Come join us as we learn from God’s Word, encourage and support one another on our journey, discover who we are now, and develop friendships and relationships that will bring Glory to God. We will complete our study by Elizabeth George.  We will begin a study by Ralph Douglas West "Finding fullness again, What the Book of Ruth teaches us about Starting Over."

The Fruit of the Spirit — Prayer Room
Facilitators: Pastor Mich
This class will take an in-depth look at The Fruit of the Spirit.  It is God’s love and work in us, the love of Christ flowing in through His Holy Spirit in and out of us!  All because we have a personal relationship with Christ, we have God’s living presence in us,  living in us.  The result is we have the ability to reflect His Fruit and character.  Join us for this important subject as we deepen our knowledge of God’s expectations, power, and presence as we are shaped and transformed with Christ-like character.
