COMMUNITY NEWS
A host family is needed for foreign exchange students who will attend your high school for the 2010/11 school year. A potential host family can choose from the following students:
• A girl from Vietnam, who enjoys cooking, baking, volunteering with small children and the elderly, playing the piano, photography and shopping.
• A boy from Ecuador who loves playing soccer, American football, bowling, and ice hockey.
• A girl from China who loves animals, swimming, painting, drawing, cooking and baking, school activities.
• A boy from Vietnam, who likes playing the piano, listening to music, reading and drawing.
Students come with good English skills, their own insurance and spending money, and mainly the desire to be a member of an American family. Host families do not need to have teenagers of their own; young families as well as empty nesters are excellent high school hosts this year. For more information about these students or others, and the program, contact Jamin Henderson at 360-661-0552 or
j.henderson33@hotmail.com
Cultural Homestay International, a non-profit organization, is asking if you will open your homes & your hearts and host a 15-16 year old girl from Chung Quing, China. Students will need a home July10-Aug.3. (They may share a room). They attend English classes Monday-Friday, go on field trips & most importantly, spend time with your family. For more information, contact Cherie Wasmund at 629-9426 or (425) 418-1768.
