AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) (Sept. - May)
AWANA meets on Wednesday nights, September through May from 6:30-8:00pm for ages 3 through High School. During club night, children play games, sing, hear a message, and work one-on-one with their leader in their handbook.
Junior Church
Junior Church is for children ages 3 through Kindergarten. Jr. Church is offered at the Sunday morning 8:30am service. It is in the Christian Education building in Room #3, where the children learn Bible stories, crafts, music and pray each week. Snacks are also provided. Children are dismissed during the service.
Kindergarten (Sept. - May)
Camano Chapel Kindergarten is an integral part of the church with a planned curriculum. Its purpose is to help the children value themselves and each other in a positive manner and to start them on a lifetime enjoyment of learning. Kindergarten meets on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:45am to 11:45am and 12:15pm to 3:15pm. Teacher is Becky Vargas (Room 10).
Mini Church
Mini Church is a program for children ages 3 through 2nd Grade. It is available during the 11am Service in the CE Building rooms 3 and 6. They have Bible stories, crafts, and prayer. Snacks are also provided at the end of the service. Great volunteers teach the children.
Moppets (Sept. - May)
Day MOPS meets every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until noon.
Night MOPS meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
Our Moppet Department welcomes children from birth through kindergarten, with a home school room. While their moms enjoy a morning or evening with other moms, the babies and toddlers are being rocked, cuddled, and loved in our nurseries. The older children, ages 2-5 are busy hearing Bible stories, making crafts, going to music and gym time, and having a snack. Moms must be registered with MOPS and on campus for children to attend.
Nursery
Camano Chapel provides nursery childcare for children ages newborn through 2 years old. The Infant Nursery is located in the back of the Worship Center. The Toddler Nursery is located in the Christian Education Building in Room 2. Nursery care is provided for all of the church services and also for the Sunday school hour. (Please note: a Sunday school class is offered for 2-year-old children.)
Preschool (Sept. - May)
Camano Chapel Preschool is an integral part of the church with a planned curriculum that develops each child in its respective stages of development and also prepares them for further education. They meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:15 am and 12:15 pm to 2:30pm. Teachers are Berna Michl (room 9) and Cheryl McCoy (room 7).
Sunday School (Sept. - June)
Sunday school is available for children ages 2 - 3rd grade. Sunday School meets every Sunday from 9:45 am (or after the 8:30am service ends) to 10:45 am The children enjoy elementary Bible training in their classes, learning the essential Bible stories that are so important for their spiritual growth. Our curriculum has been updated and includes many hands-on projects to reinforce the Biblical principles
Vacation Bible School (June)
VBS is a one week summer ministry open to children ages 4 - 4th grade. The VBS week is a high energy, activity-packed time filled with singing, crafts, snacks and Bible stories selected to encourage kids during the summer. All children from the church and community are welcome to this great week!
